Dr. Wilma Hodges, PMP
Founder & Principal Consultant
Dr. Wilma Hodges is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in higher education and online learning. She has a unique blend of qualifications, including a master's in Technical Writing from University of Central Florida, an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology from Nova Southeastern University, a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute, and a UX certification from Nielsen Norman Group. Her expertise in educational technology and open-source software has helped numerous institutions enhance their learning environments and promote effective teaching and learning.
Throughout her career, Wilma has held a variety of roles, including Director of Training and eLearning Initiatives at Longsight, where she provided LMS support and faculty training for a wide range of colleges and universities. She has also served in a variety of capacities within higher education, including an Instructional Technology Specialist, Adjunct Faculty, and Manager of Distance Learning.
Currently, as the Apereo Foundation Board Vice Chair and the Sakai Community Manager, she provides strategic direction, oversees community building initiatives, and advocates for open-source technology. Wilma’s expertise includes instructional design, LMS administration, training, software documentation, user experience research, and project management.
